An Emergency Response and First Aid Training Experience
Camp Tel Yehudah offers more than just a summer program – we provide a transformative journey for Jewish teens from the United States, Israel, and around the world. Our second session merkaz programs are designed to engage, educate, and empower young leaders through immersive experiences that blend Jewish values, personal growth, and global connections.
What is the Life Saving Skills Merkaz?
Become certified in lifeguarding, first-aid, and CPR while exploring the Jewish value of pikuach nefesh (saving a life) in our comprehensive Life Saving Skills program. This intensive three-week experience combines professional emergency response training with Jewish learning, preparing you to make a real difference when it matters most.
During this two and a half week program, you’ll earn your American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification while mastering essential emergency response techniques. Our program combines hands-on training in our state-of-the-art pool facility with classroom instruction from an American Red Cross Certified Instructor.

As part of the larger Merkaz community at Camp Tel Yehudah, you’ll connect with teens from various Jewish programs across the country, sharing your experiences and learning from others. Evening programs and Shabbat celebrations unite the entire Merkaz community, creating a vibrant Jewish atmosphere that enriches your summer experience.
