Tel Yehudah/Young Judaea and Hadassah* offer limited need-based tuition assistance for Young Judaea programs. Any family who is seeking assistance to alleviate the costs of Tel Yehudah tuition and/or travel to camp must submit an official Young Judaea Tuition Assistance application. In order to be eligible for assistance through Young Judaea and Hadassah, you must have first registered to attend Tel Yehudah and have paid the minimum deposit. The Tuition Assistance Application is now available.
*In order to be eligible to be considered for assistance from Hadassah, the camper’s mother must be a member of Hadassah. You can find out more about Hadassah and how to join at www.hadassah.org.** If you are seeking assistance for multiple Young Judaea program participants, whether they will be attending the same or different Young Judaea program (ex. Tel Yehudah and Year Course in Israel), your family will complete only ONE application for all of its participants.
FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for Young Judaea camps and Israel programs for Summer 2023. (You only need to submit one application to be considered by all YJ camps, programs and Hadassah.) Families applying for tuition assistance will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.

Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:
- Copies of your 2021 or 2022 Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
- Copies of all your 2022 W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.
- If you are applying before you have received all your 2022 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements, please submit them as soon as they become available.
- If you are self-employed and do not have a W-2 wages, please submit a copy your Federal Form 1040 Tax Return.
- Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.
- If you have a business income/loss from any of the following, please submit all supporting tax documentation:
- Business, Farm, Rental Property, S-Corporation, Partnership, and/or Estates and Trusts.
All supporting documentation can be uploaded in PDF format online. Documentation can also be faxed to 866-315-9264 or mailed to the address below. Please be sure to include the applicant ID on all faxed or mailed correspondence.

We strongly encourage you to pursue other sources of financial assistance in addition to your application for assistance from the Young Judaea funding pool. Many Jewish organizations, including synagogues and local Jewish Federations, have money designated for families to send their children to Jewish summer camp. We have found that earlier requests for funds are more promising. However, you must take the initiative to reach out directly and learn about the requirements for each organization.
We would like to kindly request that you do not call the Tel Yehudah office to inquire about decisions regarding Young Judaea assistance. Applications for assistance will be reviewed by Young Judaea’s tuition assistance committee. You will be notified directly in writing as soon as decisions have been made by the committee. We expect those decisions to be delivered by early April.
