The first day I came to Camp Tel Yehudah, I could not help feeling nervous. I had just spent the last seven years at Camp Judaea and had some of the best times of my life, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I never in a million years imagined that the best times continued at TY. Just like at CJ, I felt right at home when I arrived and made friends that I still consider family. TY welcomed me with open arms and let me experience a whole new side of Young Judaea. TY is where I truly began to understand that Young Judaea is a lot more than just a summer camp: that it’s an incredible organization that not only has taught me so much but also teaches people all around the world about Zionism and helps them find themselves. After 4 weeks I was able to call not one, but two, camps my home! Having been a camper since 2007 with various alumni in my family, summer has always been about Young Judaea. The way both of these camps make me feel is a something that I wish I could share with the world.
