A Heated Discussion

The discussion peulah (program), where a panel of Israelis led us in debating current religious and political issues, was incredibly interesting. Though I didn’t agree with everything that was said, I gained a better understanding of the politics and issues in Israel. The opinions that were shared were sometimes contrary to my own beliefs, so I also spent a lot of time arguing my own opinions. Overall, the experience was educational but also a bit draining. There are still so many discussions I wish to participate in, and I hope the opportunity to engage in this way will continue to arise.
