Tel Yehudah Opens New Arts Village and Summer Arts Intensive
In conjunction with the 2018 opening of our new arts village facility, we are excited to elevate the opportunity for creative expression at Tel Yehudah into a two-week intensive.
Whether it’s the natural beauty of our 150-acre site, the relationships forged in our diverse community, or the layers of our Jewish identities that we peel through, the Tel Yehudah experience explodes with inspiration.
Working with resident artists, teens explore a variety of mediums and hone their skills. Time is spent developing each teen’s own vision and helping them find ways to engage others with their art.

Beyond the growth of studio skills and the creation of a mixed media work, the Arts@TY program is also a pathway into discussions of Jewish and Israeli art and Jewish issues in general, as they have been portrayed by artists dating back to biblical times.
Summer is the perfect time and TY is the ideal place for teens to explore their creative side—at their own pace, in their own way—without the pressures and distractions of the school year. Our natural setting and Jewish context make for an unparalleled arts experience. Plus, being at TY ensures time for everything teens love about summer camp, like sports and other outdoor adventures, t’fillot, singing, programs about Israel, and time spent with good friends.
When they complete the two-week Arts@TY program, teens will have created a piece of art inspired by the natural and communal setting of TY, learned about the roots and challenges of Modern Israeli Art, acquired an understanding for what it takes to execute a community arts project, delved deeper into their Jewish identity, and elevated their own skills in mediums of their choosing.
